FAQs

Do you do the edits yourself, or do you outsource?

I do all the edits myself. I may occasionally consult another editor for large-scale edits—but I will check with you beforehand if you are open to another editor seeing your work. I will never share your work with others without your explicit consent.

What does my outline need to look like?

If you are requesting developmental edits, an outline with basic plot points and character descriptions is the bare minimum. More detailed outlines that include additional information, such as settings and worldbuilding, are also appreciated! If you're requesting copyedits, a synopsis with character descriptions is the bare minimum.

What genres do you accept?

I accept YA/MG books in any genre! I will not edit erotica/smut or heavy gore, even if you have classified this as YA.

How long does it normally take you to edit a manuscript?

This depends on the complexity of the project. Once I have taken a look at your manuscript, I will provide you with an estimate and approximate deadline of when I plan to complete my editing.

Do you provide any other services, like ghostwriting, formatting, or publishing?

No, I only provide editing services as of now.

Why did you start editing?

I have a passion for the English language and enjoy restructuring sentences to best convey an idea. It takes a certain amount of skill to edit writing so that it flows well! I love the challenge that comes from molding manuscripts into the best they can be, and I love working with passionate authors and hearing their ideas.
